Partner cards are virtual cards designed as a payout mechanism for external parties like vendors, partners, or freelancers. Unlike expense cards (issued to internal employees for company expenses), Partner cards allow your business to provide funds to a third party to be spent at their discretion. They can be funded instantly via API and let the cardholders pay online, or on a POS device.

Partner cards are flexible and support both scenarios. You can issue them as one-time "burn" cards (where the transaction count limit defaults to 1) or as reloadable vendor cards for ongoing relationships.

When a Partner card is manually cancelled or expires, any remaining funds on the card are automatically swept back to your Mamo balance account (either the "Mamo card balance" or "Mamo payments balance," depending on your configuration).

Partner cards are ideal for general B2B and B2C payouts, and client budget management. Use cases include: Booking platforms (e.g., virtual cards to manage payment for guest stays at hotels), Marketplaces (paying freelancers or service providers directly), Events (paying out artists or exhibitors), Marketing agencies (managing clients' marketing budgets), Vendor and Concierge services (instant payments to third-party vendors).

Issuance is currently API-driven, meaning cards are created via the Mamo API. The cards themselves are virtual, which means no physical cards are issued.

Partner cards are valid for a maximum of three years. However, their validity can be shorter if they were created with specific expiration criteria. For instance, a card set to expire after a single transaction will become invalid once that transaction occurs, regardless of the three-year maximum timeframe.

Yes. The Partner card can be added to Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.
