Who can sign up?
Mamo is available to businesses and freelancers registered and operating in the UAE.
How sign-up works
Step 1: Create your account
Start by registering with your email address and verifying it. This takes a few minutes and gives you access to the Mamo platform — but you won't be able to receive payments, integrate with your website, or issue any cards yet.
Step 2: Get verified
To start using Mamo for your financial operations, you need to complete our verification process. This involves submitting information and documents so we can confirm your identity and business. These KYC/KYB checks are standard for any UAE financial service.
During verification, you'll provide information across the following areas:
Personal details: This information helps us get to know and understand the person signing up for the Mamo account.
Business information: Information about the business that will be using Mamo’s services. It’s critical to clearly explain what your business does.
Business documents: We collect documentation that validates your business operations including your trade licence and MOA.
Bank information: If you use Mamo to receive payments, we’ll need the details of your UAE bank account to settle your money to you.
Business owners: Sometimes the person signing up for Mamo is not the owner of the business that will be benefiting from Mamo’s services. As per regulatory requirements, we're obligated to run KYC verifications and screening on all owners of every business. This includes majority and minority owners
Once you've provided all the necessary documents, we'll proceed with our review and promptly inform you of any updates. Here's what can happen next:
Your account is verified — your information is complete and your application is approved, usually within 2–3 business days
You may be asked for more information — we may follow up if we need additional or updated documents; the timeline restarts from when you resubmit
Application unsuccessful — some businesses don't pass verification; see why some businesses fail verification.
Please remember that you won't be able to start using Mamo’s services until you have uploaded all your documents and your account has been verified.
Data security
Your money matters. And so does your data. You can rest assured that we work very hard to keep them both safe.
Useful tips
Add [email protected] and [email protected] to your safe senders list. Verification emails sometimes end up in spam, and missing them can delay your approval.
