Recurring payments allows you to automate regular payments by creating subscriptions straight from the dashboard.

Recurring payments price plan

Recurring payments is only available as part of the Premium and Ultra pricing plans.

Create a recurring payment

  1. Log into the dashboard.

  2. Click Recurring payments on the left menu, and then New recurring payment.

  3. Add the title and description for the recurring payment.

  4. Set the recurring payment amount.

  5. Create a payment schedule.

    1. You can create a schedule based on frequency

      1. By week or month

      2. Custom by end date (Never, After a set number of payments, On a specific date). Use the drop-down to select the preferred options.

  6. Continue customizing the link by enabling redirection to a success page after payment. Simply add a link that directs the customer to any destination you desire.

  7. Review the details and click Create my recurring payment link.

    1. If you decide to change some details at any stage, before creating the link, use the return arrow at the top-left corner of the screen to go back and edit.

Share the recurring payment

The recurring payment link is now ready. Copy and share this with customers to subscribe.

Reminders and notifications

Customers will receive an automatic email notification 5 days before they are charged. Followed by a receipt after the amount has been charged. You can track all recurring payments by visiting the Recurring payments on the left menu.

Disable a recurring payment

  1. Log into the dashboard

  2. Click on Recurring payments on the left panel and select the recurring payment to disable

  3. Click the three ellipses on the top right corner of your screen and select Disable recurring payment from the drop-down.

  4. The payment link is immediately disabled, and an email notification is sent to the customers of that recurring payment.

Once you disable a recurring payment link, customers will no longer be charged for any future upcoming payments.

Suspending recurring payment

Currently, we don't have the ability to suspend an active subscription. If a customer wishes to temporarily stop being billed, they would need to unsubscribe and then resubscribe later.

Our team is constantly working on improving our services and we hope to offer a suspension feature very soon!

Cancel a recurring payment

Customers can request the cancelation of their recurring payment directly from the business owner. If you are the customer and the business owner is unresponsive, you can contact Mamo using the Chat for help.

  1. As a business owner to cancel a recurring payment log into the dashboard.

  2. Click on Recurring payments on the left panel and select the payment containing the customer you’d like to unsubscribe.

  3. Select the customer you’d like to remove from the subscriber list of that payment.

  4. Click on Remove subscriber at the top right corner of your screen. The customer will immediately be removed and notified via email.

Failed recurring payments

If a recurring payments fails, you’ll need to create a separate payment link and share it with the customer to fulfill the failed payment.

The recurring payment structure will not be broken and will continue as it should, meaning any subsequent payments will be collected per the set schedule.

Both the business owner and the customer will get notified via email if a payment fails. You can also find the failed payment on your dashboard.

For easy access, you can use the search and filter function in the Payments category to search for failed payments using the payment ID or customer name.


Alternatively, you can follow the below steps to see details of failed recurring payments:

  1. Click Recurring payments from the left panel of your dashboard and select the recurring payment to investigate.

  2. Select the name of the customer.

  3. Find and select the failed payment under All payments > Settlement status.

Update an existing recurring payment details

Currently, we don't have the ability to edit existing recurring payment details and settings. You can only cancel a recurring payment or disable it.
