Can I receive settlements in different currencies?

Independent of which currency your payment link is offered in, your payments will by default be settled in AED (United Arab Emirates Dirham) to your UAE bank account.

If, however, you would like your funds to be settled in USD, that is currently possible.

AED settlements

By default, all settlements are made in AED to your UAE bank account. If your customers pay in AED, you will be settled in AED with no currency conversion and no FX fees beyond the standard transaction fees on our pricing page.

USD settlements

If your customers pay in USD, Mamo can settle you directly in USD — no currency conversion needed.

To enable USD settlements, you'll need:

  1. A UAE-based bank account that accepts USD deposits.

  2. A quick setup with our team. Reach us via Chat from your Mamo Dashboard or email us at [email protected].

USD settlements are subject to a USD 7.15 settlement fee per settlement. This fee covers intermediary bank charges incurred during the transfer process and will be reflected in your settlement summary.

What if my customers pay in other non-AED currencies?

If your customers pay in a non-AED currency other than USD (e.g. EUR, GBP), Mamo will convert and settle you in AED. We apply the prevailing market rate using rates pulled automatically from a trusted external provider. These rates may vary slightly from publicly-facing sources and are applied at the point of transaction. Read more about Mamo's FX fees and conversion rates.
