Expense Management for Employees

​​Introduction

With Mamo Expenses, employees are able to file expenses for all purchases and spends made using Mamo Cards.

Adding an expense

A new expense will be automatically created for every successful transaction on all of your cards. As an employee, you are able to:

  • View all expenses for transactions on your cards

  • For each expense, upload receipts, add a description, select a category, and then submit the expense for an admin to review and finalize

Guide for expense employees

There are two ways to submit your expenses:

  1. Your dashboard

  2. WhatsApp

Submitting expenses from your dashboard

Use the “Expenses” tab in your Mamo dashboard to easily attach receipts for your expenses and submit them to your Finance team.

Whenever you spend on your Mamo Card, an expense will be automatically created in your “Expenses” list, with the status “Incomplete”.

To submit an expense, you need to:

  1. Click on the expense you want to update

  2. Select the category from the dropdown

  3. Add a description

  4. Attach receipts

  5. Click “Submit” - and you’re all set!

After you click “Submit”, the expense will move to the bottom of your list so you can move on to the remaining, incomplete ones.

Submitting expenses from WhatsApp

Whenever you spend on your Mamo Card, you'll receive a WhatsApp notification confirming the payment and prompting you to upload your receipt directly in the chat.

To submit an expense, you need to:

  1. Take a photo of your receipt or upload it from your library. If you have multiple images, you can attach up to 5 images for each expense.

  2. Select the category from the dropdown menu.

And you're all set! Your expense will be submitted for your expense admins to review, and you can view your expenses from your Mamo dashboard.


Can I submit my expenses from WhatsApp later if I didn't do it immediately?

Yes, you can. If you were busy or forgot to upload your receipt when you received the WhatsApp notification, don’t worry! You can always come back later and simply upload the receipt in the chat. You can WhatsApp the Mamobot anytime at +971 58 529 6266.

After uploading your receipt, the WhatsApp bot will ask you to confirm which transaction it’s for, and to confirm the category of your expense.
