How do I top up my card?

Learn how to add money to your Mamo Card.

To enjoy the benefits of spending on your Mamo Card, you'll need to add funds to it. You can choose to top up from your available balance, or through a manual bank transfer:

Top up from your available Mamo balance

Add money to your card directly from your available AED Payments account balance. This account holds all the funds you've collected from your customers that have not yet been settled to your bank account. This is the fastest and slickest way to top up your card and reflects instantly 🚀

  1. Go to Finances

  2. Click on your Debit card account

  3. In the top right click on + Top up

  4. In the From section, choose the account you'd like to use to fund your card

If you are on automatic scheduled settlements, your Available balance will always appear as 0 after the funds have been settled to your bank account.

💸 Consider enabling auto top-up if you want to send funds to your Mamo Card.

Auto top-up your card

If you use Mamo to collect payments, and Mamo Card for spending, you can set up an automated, daily card top-up. This will help to ensure that your card account is always funded and you avoid unnecessary card declines due to insufficient funds.

  1. Go to Finances > Preferences

  2. Toggle on Auto top-up card

  3. Select the amount you wish to top up

Auto top-ups happen every day at 8am GST. If your balance is below the amount you defined, we’ll transfer what’s available. If you’re on automatic scheduled settlements, top-up will happen first, and the remainder of your balance will go to your bank account.

Top up via a manual bank transfer

Add money to your card by transferring funds directly to Mamo, and we do the top-up for you.

  1. Go to Finances

  2. Click on your Debit card account

  3. In the top right click on + Top up

  4. In the From section, select Manual bank transfer to see our bank details

Follow the steps on screen to manually transfer funds from your bank account to ours.

‼️ Important: Make sure to include your unique reference ID found on this page (e.g. MPB-MER-XXXXXXXXXX) when making the transfer to ensure we process your deposit quickly and accurately.

Top-ups from bank transfers usually reflect within 1 business day.

Reversing a top-up

Reversing a top-up from Mamo balance

This is easy, free, and instant! Simply go to Accounts > Transfer, and transfer the money back to your AED Payments account.

Reversing a manual bank transfer

If you've topped up your card via a bank transfer from your linked bank account, you can send it back to your bank account by transferring it to your Mamo balance, and waiting for the next settlement.

If you've used a different bank account than your own, you can initiate a payout to that bank account, which will incur a payout fee.
