Learn more about why some applications don't make it through to verification

Updated over a week ago

Not all applications for a Mamo account will always get approved. If you've received an email from us notifying you that your verification was not successful, here are some of the most common reasons why your business may have failed verification:

Missing identification

We might not have received the necessary KYC documents like Emirates ID for you or the business owners.

Please log in to your Mamo Dashboard and re-submit the highlighted missing documents there.

Incomplete business documents

Some required documents such as your Trade License or Proof of Address may still be missing.

Please log in to your Mamo Dashboard and re-submit the highlighted missing documents there.

Business location

Your business may not be based in the UAE.

Mamo is currently only available for UAE-based businesses and freelancers. If you are interested in setting up your business in the UAE, please read this blog.

Nature of your business

Your business operates in an industry that doesn't align with our current offerings or policies.

Please review our list of prohibited businesses here.

Sanctions or blacklist concerns

Your business may have connections to entities listed on international sanctions or watchlists.

Previously suspended

You may have previously held an account with Mamo which was suspended. Please note that, if your Mamo account is ever suspended, you will not be allowed to apply for a new one. Our internal policies are strict on this and our decisions are final.
