This article explains the types of receipts and invoices you receive from Mamo and how to access them. This information will help you maintain accurate financial records and meet your tax obligations.
Payment receipts
Every time your customer pays you, you'll receive a payment receipt confirming the transaction. This receipt provides a detailed breakdown of the transaction, including:
Amount paid: The total amount your customer paid.
Fees & VAT: A breakdown of the fees charged by Mamo for processing the payment, including the 5% VAT applied to those fees.
Net payment: The final amount deposited into your account after fees and VAT are deducted.
Payment details: Information such as the payment date, description, reference ID, and payment method used.
Customer details: Your customer's name, email address, and phone number (if available)
Downloading payment information
You can download a CSV file of your payment data for easy record-keeping. Here's how:
On your Mamo dashboard, go to Payments
Use the filter icon next to the search bar to filter your transactions by payment status, amount, or date range. This is optional.
Click the download icon located above the payment table on the right side
Tax invoices
Mamo charges a 5% VAT on all fees collected, including transaction fees, dispute fees, and premium fees.
Receiving your monthly tax invoice
The tax invoice includes a summary of all fees, and the associated VAT within the invoicing period.
Add your tax registration number (TRN)
If you’re registered with the Federal Tax Authority and want to include your Tax registration number (TRN) in the tax invoices you receive, make sure to add your Tax registration number and business address from your Mamo dashboard.
Go to Settings > Business details

If you don't have a TRN, we'll still send the tax invoice, but it won't include a TRN. The tax invoice we send will only include your TRN if you’ve added it.
When and how to expect your tax invoice
A tax invoice will be issued to all customers on the 1st day of every month. This tax invoice is sent by email to your registered business email address.
